Miami, FL

Free beaches, free art, free concerts. Just add sunscreen.

Miami is less expensive than it looks. Wynwood Walls is free, South Beach is free, the ICA is always free, and Coral Gables' Venetian Pool is one of the most beautiful public pools in America for $20. The trick is knowing what's tourist-priced and what's local-priced — Little Havana and Coconut Grove are where the value is.

Local tip

New World Symphony does free WALLCAST concerts — they project the performance on the outside wall of the building and you sit on the lawn. World-class classical music, completely free, under the stars.
