The spicy spring pepperoni square. That's why you're here. Don't pretend otherwise.
The SoHo Square -- a thick Sicilian-style slice loaded with pepperoni cups that crisp into little grease pools -- is the reason for the line out the door. About $6-7 for the pepperoni square. Regular slices are fine but forgettable. The line moves fast. Open absurdly late on weekends (until 5am Thu-Sat). Multiple locations now but the original Prince St shop is the experience.

Budget $60-90/person.

balthazarny.comSouth African-Israeli-Mediterranean brunch. The green shakshuka is why you're waiting 45 minutes.
Israeli-Mediterranean all-day cafe. The green shakshuka, rosewater waffle, and madame freda sandwich are the hits. Brunch entrees $16-24. Multiple locations (West Village, Chelsea, Union Square) but Lafayette Street is the original. Weekend wait is 30-60 minutes. The patio seats in nice weather are worth the extra wait.
